    Storeman / Driver Job in Johannesburg, Gauteng

    Position Summary: Responsible for picking, selecting, and packing as well as delivery of stock for laboratory or depot usage.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Conducts delivery and collection of specimens from outlying laboratories, supporting doctors and clients to ensure that specimens, reports and other goods arrive at correct destinations timeously and in good condition to increase customer service levels

    Completes and signs proof of delivery for specimens or reports collected or delivered to ensure records are kept for tracking purposes if and when applicable.

    Scans specimens and results on the Courier Management Programmes to ensure that all deliveries and collections can be tracked and traced.

    Maintain daily safe keeping and fault reporting on Lancet’s assets (such as vehicles, petrol cards, uniforms etc.) and equipment to ensure that they remain in good condition to provide excellent collection and delivery of goods and shuttle services.

    Utilises protective wear (such as specimen bags, gloves, eye specs etc.) to ensure own safety and adherence to the Health and safety

    regulations policy.

    Completes incident and accident reports and submits to Management to ensure that insurance claims are processed timeously and all damages are repaired.

    Maintains cleanliness of Lancet vehicles and reports any spills of hazardous materials to management to ensure safe working conditions as per Quality Assurance Standards.

    Ensure all stock related processes, activities and procedures are adhered to in accordance to Company Policy.

    Maintain accurate stock levels, via electronic stock control system on the computer to ensure maximum/minimum stock levels are

    maintained.

    Responsible for the physical issuing of stock via Stock requisitions, into production and ensuring the accurate capture of stock issued onto electronic system Meditech (in-house package), to maintain stock level balance during stock takes.

    Responsible for the physical receiving of all stock that may be delivered direct to the laboratory in accordance with stipulated Company Policies, to ensure that correct and conforming material is received for consumption / production.

    Responsible for receiving paperwork that needs to be correlated and sent through to stores with traceable records for audit purposes and

    to ensure stock is captured accordingly.

    Responsible for the generating of Purchase Orders on the computer system Meditech via Procurement Department to replenish stock

    levels and ensure that there are no stock shortages at the laboratory.

    Responsible for manually creating storage locations on the floor and managing all Bin and Bulk Locations on the computer system,

    Meditech within the designated store to ensure effective and efficient stock retrieval system.

    Following up on all orders placed via the computer system – via Procurement, to ensure prompt delivery of stock.

    Responsible for planning, coordinating and physically counting of stock, entering figures on the computer system, to ensure Stock take

    process is in accordance with outlined company processes

    Physically investigates all variances and provide feedback on stock losses or surpluses.

    Qualifications:

    Drivers License Code 08

    Grade 12

    Experience

    1-2 years relevant working experience

    Relevant Job Knowledge:

    Stock in pathology environment

    Stock in pharmaceutical environment
