**Description:**
Transnet is seeking a Change Management Consultant to play a pivotal role in advancing the Business Transformation & Change Management approach across regions, terminals, and departments. This role involves overseeing the execution of change initiatives, establishing implementation structures, and mobilizing stakeholders at both regional and terminal levels.
**Position Outputs:**
- Harmonize TPT HQ and Group initiatives with existing regional and terminal efforts through adept project management.
- Aid project managers in crafting terminal-specific change implementation plans and tools for effective monitoring and execution.
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with stakeholders across regions and terminals through strategic change interventions and communications.
- Offer technical guidance to terminal line managers for implementing key change initiatives within their functional units, ensuring skill transfer to regional and terminal-level project managers.
- Foster the effectiveness of the change champions network to drive various change programs within terminals.
- Provide on-the-job coaching to ensure culture change initiatives positively impact regional employees under line managers and supervisors.
- Design, develop, and deploy tailored change interventions to address specific needs of terminal departments and stakeholder groups.
- Uphold momentum at sites through consistent change communication and visible support channels.
- Identify department-specific risks and recommend mitigation actions, escalating key risks to regional authorities as necessary.
- Offer strategic input into HQ transformation initiatives, aiding in continuous improvement and planning efforts.
- Collaborate with Corporate Affairs to implement change communication plans, enhancing engagement channels across various ODs within regions and terminals.
- Generate weekly and monthly progress reports to provide regular feedback to terminal forums and HQ change teams.
- Mentor and coach internal champions or implementation coordinators at regional and terminal levels to enhance internal capacity for sustaining change and cultural programs.
**Qualifications and Experience:**
- Degree or National Higher Diploma (NQF Level 6/7) in Human Resources or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience, with at least 3 years in a first-line management role. OR NQF Level 5 with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or specialist role.
- Relevant experience in transformation or change communication, project management, and implementing change management programs.
**Competencies:**
- Proficiency in SAP and Shared Services/Centers of Excellence.
- Strong computer skills, particularly with MS Office applications.
- Demonstrated report writing and analytical abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Business acumen and organizational intelligence.
