**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Electrical Maintenance and Repairs:**
- Perform maintenance and repairs on electrical distribution infrastructure, including underground coal conveyance systems and production-related machinery (e.g., roof bolters, scoops, batteries and chargers, feeder breakers, electrical drills, compressors, submersible pumps, and flameproofing).
- Work on medium and low voltage switchgear and reticulation infrastructure.
- **Compliance and Safety:**
- Enforce compliance with MHSA (Mine Health and Safety Act) and/or HSEC (Health, Safety, Environment, and Community) requirements.
**Required Skills:**
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience in a production environment.
- Safety-oriented approach.
**Candidate Requirements:**
- **Experience:** Minimum of 3 years in a conventional production section with sound knowledge of maintenance on underground equipment.
- **Education:** Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- **Certification:** Valid trade test certificate (Millwright), Flameproof and gas testing certificate, Medium voltage certification.
- **Driver’s License:** Code EB.
- **Knowledge:** Understanding of MHSA/HSEC requirements.
- **Additional:** Must possess or be able to obtain a valid certificate of fitness as per the Mine Health and Safety Act.
