Are you passionate about training and development in the retail sector? Are you an experienced retail trainer? We are looking for a Regional Trainer to join the HR Training department in the Eastern Cape, based at our East London Distribution Center. **Purpose of the Role:**
To identify and monitor training needs within the region, conduct Skills and Learnership Training programmes, and assess and moderate Learnerships, skills, and operational training.
**Minimum Requirements:**
- 5 Years of Retail (store) Experience. Experience in HR / Learning & Development will be advantageous.
- Matric - Assessor/facilitator certificate and/or HR qualification will be advantageous.
- NQF 5 with Assessor/Facilitator and Moderator certificate; or HR Qualification.
- Valid driver’s license – this is non-negotiable.
- Ability to travel extensively.
- Proficient in Excel.
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct Training programmes and identify training needs/gaps within the region.
- Ensure Quality Assurance by conducting assessments according to ETQA requirements and assisting with moderations.
- Mentor and monitor the progress of all learners in the region.
- Identify training gaps and upskill employees.
- Prepare training schedules for group training sessions.
- Follow up on training conducted for OHS, Shrinkage, fire safety, forklift/reach truck operation, and first aid.
- Communicate with operations by continually liaising and providing feedback to Store Regional Managers, including attending their regional meetings.
- Support new store openings.
- Conduct assessments and moderation of all skills programs within the region.
