We're seeking a skilled Group Financial Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team at our Westville, Durban head office. If you're a qualified CA (SA) with 3-5 years of post-articles experience and a strong background in technical accounting, such as currently working as an Audit Manager/Senior in an accounting firm, we'd love to hear from you!
Minimum Requirements:
- Qualified CA (SA) with completed ATC and ITC board exams
- 3-5 years of post-articles experience in an accounting firm
- SAICA membership (non-negotiable)
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- SAP experience (advantageous)
Duties and Responsibilities: As a Group Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Technical accounting and financial reporting
- Group consolidation and financial statement preparation
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Financial analysis and reporting
- Compliance with IFRS and JSE listings requirements
- Collaborating with external auditors and stakeholders
- Leading audit teams and managing audit engagements
- Conducting risk assessments and developing audit plans
- Identifying and addressing audit findings and recommendations
- Communicating with clients and stakeholders
- Staying up-to-date with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
