**Description:**
DHL Supply Chain is seeking a passionate Key Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be crucial in supporting our growth agenda by managing and nurturing profitable key accounts, specifically focusing on Mondelez Coega. You will oversee the account’s profit and loss (P&L), build trusted relationships with the customer’s leadership team, and identify opportunities for additional share of wallet within assigned accounts. Additionally, you will proactively manage the renewal agenda to ensure sustained customer satisfaction.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**P&L Management:**
- Own the financial performance of the account in alignment with operational, financial, and investment plans.
- Achieve annual EBIT targets and deliver on agreed gross profit (GP) targets.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for operational delivery to the customer.
**Customer Relationship Management:**
- Develop constructive C-Suite relationships within assigned accounts.
- Act as the key contact for the customer on a local level.
- Maintain access to key decision-makers and establish a network of mentors.
**Share of Wallet Expansion:**
- Ensure year-on-year growth in DHL Supply Chain’s share of the customer’s logistics spend.
- Sponsor the development and maintenance of a quality account pipeline, focusing on proactive opportunities.
- Continuously identify and pursue potential business opportunities within assigned accounts.
**Stakeholder Management:**
- Ensure the delivery of quality services and proactively address customer issues.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing within the DHL Supply Chain community.
**Qualifications and Experience:**
- Grade 12 / Matric – Essential.
- A relevant degree or equivalent qualification is advantageous.
- More than 5 years of experience in DHL Supply Chain, sales, and the logistics sector.
**Skills and Competencies:**
- Ability to build and maintain effective customer relationships.
- Strong focus on delivering high-quality and innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to convey strategic messages effectively.
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written).
