#### **Key Responsibilities:**
- **Product Selection and Purchasing:**
- Identify and source new products that fit the company’s retail strategy and customer preferences.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on product quality, price, and delivery performance.
- Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms of sale with suppliers.
- **Market Analysis:**
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive pricing.
- Monitor industry trends and competitors to inform buying decisions.
- **Inventory Management:**
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock.
- Collaborate with the inventory management team to track stock levels and reorder products as needed.
- Manage stock turnover and reduce slow-moving inventory.
- **Vendor Relationships:**
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure the best terms and reliable supply.
- Resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers efficiently.
- **Financial Management:**
- Develop and manage budgets for product categories.
- Analyze sales data and financial performance of products to inform future purchasing decisions.
- Ensure that purchasing activities align with financial goals and profit margins.
- **Collaboration:**
- Work closely with merchandising, marketing, and sales teams to develop product strategies and promotional activities.
- Provide product knowledge and training to the sales team to enhance their selling effectiveness.
#### **Candidate Requirements:**
- **Qualification:** Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Buying/Fashion, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- **Experience:**
- Minimum of 3-5 years as a Retail Buyer or in a similar role.
- Proven experience in negotiating and managing supplier relationships.
- **Skills:**
- Proficient in time management and organizational skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Highly analytical with a good sense of fashion business and trend forecasting.
- Strong communication, visualization, and vendor relations skills.

- **Salary:** R40,000.00 - R60,000.00 per month (Negotiable).
