**Job Description:**
Transnet is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee ICT projects executed by various entities within or outside Transnet National Ports Authority. In this role, you will ensure efficient planning, management, and implementation of projects within stipulated timeframes, budgets, and quality standards.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage project scope, timelines, budget, resources, risks, and contracts, aligning with PMO standards.
- Collaborate with program managers and project sponsors to determine project goals and priorities.
- Select project team members and assign duties and responsibilities.
- Assist in developing Business Case/Project Execution/Feasibility study documents.
- Create a project charter, define completion criteria, and motivate the project team.
- Organize project work into manageable activity clusters and compile accurate project estimates.
- Develop project plans, analyze risks, establish contingency plans, and manage change control.
- Report on progress, budget, and change control, and oversee project documentation.
- Represent the project at meetings, escalate issues as needed, and ensure effective communication.
- Ensure proper closure and archiving of project records.
**Qualifications and Experience:**
- Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Information Technology or relevant equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management, including 2+ years in a managerial role.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Prince 2) preferred.
**Competencies:**
- Sound knowledge of project management principles, ICT governance, change management, financial management, and Agile Methodology.
- Strong communication skills, SAP environment familiarity, and business application knowledge.
- Resource and people management skills, problem-solving capabilities, and ability to deal with complexity.
- Interpersonal skills, financial and general management acumen, results-driven, and customer-oriented.
