**Description:**


Join Vodacom as the Executive Head: Group Brand, where you’ll play a central role in overseeing and leading the brand portfolio across Vodacom Group Operating companies (Opco’s), ensuring alignment with Group brand strategy and global guidelines.


**Key Responsibilities:**


- Oversee and lead the brand portfolio across Vodacom Group Opco’s in line with Group brand strategy, frameworks, standards, and policies.

- Support Commercial outcomes through demand-led Brand initiatives.

- Drive understanding and adoption of the brand strategy and playbook across Opco’s, developing Purpose and Network and Technology Leadership themes.

- Implement consistent frameworks for tracking brand equity drivers and performance, recommending best practices for balancing performance marketing with brand building.

- Provide guidance for annual brand and sponsorship planning, driving stature, differentiation, and improved relevance with stakeholders.

- Lead Sponsorship initiatives spanning multiple Opco’s and support Employer Brand and EVP positioning.

- Leverage brand platforms and tools to enhance brand equity across Opco’s.

- Provide directional leadership and support on the brand portfolio, ensuring consistency and alignment with group business and brand strategy.

- Serve as a center of excellence, providing insights on trends, best practices, and frameworks to raise brand execution standards.

- Collaborate with Opco’s to improve brand governance and implement consistency in measurement and tracking.

- Coordinate brand and sponsorship initiatives to drive brand equity.

- Implement tools and systems to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency of the brand function.

- Lead and structure governance processes for the Brand community, ensuring compliance with Group policies and guidelines.

- Partner with internal Group functions and manage external stakeholders to align on deliveries and performance.

- Oversee planning and tracking of marketing activities across Opco’s.

- Provide inspirational leadership and coaching across Opco’s, offering best practice insights and recommendations.


**Ideal Candidate Profile:**


**Qualifications:**

- Bachelor’s degree.

- More than 10 years relevant experience in Brand Management and/or Marketing.

- Pan-Africa experience is advantageous.


**Core Competencies, Knowledge, and Experience:**

- Proven track record in Brand Management, Sponsorship Management, and Project Management.

- Experience managing a brand across multiple geographies.

- Strong financial and analytical skills.

- High experience in leading through influence and building strong relationships.

- Capable of working in a complex organization and building credibility across geographies.
